Welcome to Camp M.A.E: Nature Play Program 2020
Nature Play Program
Nature Play program is a program designed for children 2-6 years old to encourage the young children to learn through play within their natural environment. This parent and child program provides both the opportunity to bond and connect better with each other through play.
In the new year 2020, we have revamped the Nature Play program to make it more adventurous and educational for the children. There will be different themes each month and in every class we will incorporate different elements of play such as scavenger hunt, messy art and messy craft, some sports fun and many others. Some of these activities includes:
- Mud trail – where we go into the mangrove swamp to learn about the creatures and living organism that we can find in the swamp. Look out for some colourful fiddler crabs, some snails and check out the fish that skips!
- Pond exploration – a class where we learn about the living organism and sea creatures that we can find in the pond; learn to make some portable water; experiment and analyse on algae and fungus that we find inside the pond water
- Animal care – a trip to the animal island where we learn to take care of some animals; feed some porcupines; learn to shower some exotic animals and groom some rabbits.
- Jungle exploration – a trek into our jungle school to learn about the different types of leaves, herbs, branches and fruits that you can find in our tropical jungle; its benefits and usages and what we can do and create with these nature products.
In every activity, we encourage children to build and develop their physical and mental well-being, build their courage, improve their fine and gross motor skills, build resiliency, learn about teamwork and most importantly, understand and appreciate more of their natural environment and the different elements within it.
