The Adventure Camp series has been revamped and redesigned to consist better programs and activities, covering many more aspects of developing children’s character strength and life skills.  Using the concept of learning through play, this Series provides children a variety of fun and exciting outdoor and nature activities that encourages them to develop a variety of life skills and build good values.  The Survivals Skills Camp: The Wilderness is a level up from the previous Survival Skills Camp. In this camp, children will learn the different skills that is required to survive in the wilderness. Some of the activities includes navigation, rope course, making traps to catch food, making portable water, making fire & cooking, basic tool techniques and many more.

The objectives of this camp are:

  1. To provide children a variety of activities that encourages children to learn basic survival and independence skills.
  2. To encourage children to build different skill sets and understand one’s abilities and potentials.
  3. To encourage children to learn, understand and be observant of their surrounding environment.

Date: 17th – 18th March 2020

Venue: Camp MAE @ Amverton Cove Golf and Island Resort, Carey island

Age Group: 7 years and above

The itinerary for this 2 days 1 night camp are as follow:

Day 1

11.30-12.30pm: Meet at Cratze Art Studio *

12.30-1.30pm:   Depart to Camp MAE

2.00-2.30pm:     Check in to Camp MAE + briefing

2.30-3.30pm:     Rope course

3.30-4.30pm:     Tools technique

4.30-6.00pm:     Making traps + Making portable water

6.00-8.00pm:     Starting fire & cooking

8.00-9.00pm:     Campfire + games

9.00-9.30pm:     Shower

9.30pm:             Bedtime

Day 2

7.00-8.00am:   Wake up + morning workout

8.00-9.00am:   Breakfast + rest time

9.00-11.00am: Navigation – Treasure hunt time!

11-12.00pm:    Shower and pack up

12.00-1.00pm: Lunch

1.00-2.30pm:   Depart to Cratze Art Studio

2.30pm:           Pick up children

** The time slots for the activities mentioned above may be rescheduled depending on the weather condition during that 2 days.

Things to bring

1) Mosquito repellent

2) Torchlight

3) Clothing – sports attire, shoes, slippers, hat, comfortable clothing, windbreaker

4) Amenities – shampoo, body shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste

5) Towel

6) Sun Block

7) Rain Coat

8) Water bottle

9) Swimming attire (life jacket is provided)

The children will be staying in cabins with bed and beddings.  There will be 7 children and 1 facilitator in each cabin.  Males and females are separated in different cabins.  Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided and there will be plenty of snacks provided in case children get hungry at other times.

Camp M.A.E. is located within the compound of Amverton Cove Golf and Island Resort Camp MAE which is gated and guarded with extremely tight security.  There are plenty of facilitators and guards that are supervising the whole vicinity, hence the place is extremely safe.  We do not encourage children to bring their mobile phones or any valuable items.  If you wish to check on your child or talk to them, you may contact Beverley (+6012-2094262) or Debbie at (+6016-5530325) at any time to check on your children but please try not to call during bedtime so as to avoid waking up the children.
