Plastic pollution is one of the biggest threats to marine life. This month, kids will focus on applying the 3Rs—Reduce, Reuse, Recycle—to help tackle the issue. After learning how plastic waste harms sea creatures like turtles and fish, they’ll participate in a creative workshop where they’ll turn trash into treasure by reusing materials to make functional or decorative items. By reducing their own waste and understanding how recycling works, they’ll connect their actions to the health of marine ecosystems. This hands-on activity will be paired with stories of real-life sea animals affected by pollution, making the lesson both meaningful and memorable.

The objectives of this program are as follows:

1. Encourage children to engage, explore, experiment, analyze, and experience the process.
2. Encourage children the ability to build and develop their critical thinking skills, where they would need to learn to make decisions and problem solve.
3. Encourage children to appreciate and show respect for the animal.
