Pollinators like bees and butterflies are essential for plants, but pesticides and habitat destruction are threatening their survival. This month, kids will create a herbarium, pressing and preserving flowers and leaves to study plant diversity and pollination. They’ll identify the parts of flowers, track how seeds develop, and connect this to the role of pollinators. By observing the beauty and importance of flowering plants, they’ll gain a deeper appreciation for pollinators’ work. This artistic yet educational activity raises awareness about protecting pollinators and how kids can contribute to creating pollinator-friendly spaces.

The objectives of this program are as follows:

1. Encourage children to engage, explore, experiment, analyze, and experience the process.
2. Encourage children the ability to build and develop their critical thinking skills, where they would need to learn to make decisions and problem solve.
3. Encourage children to appreciate and show respect for the environment.
